Luminex FLEXMAP 3D
The Luminex platform is capable of multi-analyte screening of samples using flow cytometry to detect analytes captured on polystyrene or magnetic beads. The colored beads are coated with capture antibodies or probes (for gene expression quantitation) and bound analyte is detected with a PE-labeled secondary antibody. The beads are sorted into regions and a fluorescence intensity is determined for each analyte. Small volumes (25uL) of sample can be simultaneously screened and quantitated for 65 soluble biomarkers or 80 genes. More information can be found here.
